COOKIE POLICY

EnvManager

https://envmanager.com

Effective Date: August 27, 2026

1. Introduction

DigitX ('we', 'us', 'our', or 'Company') operates the EnvManager website and SaaS platform (the 'Service'). This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and application to enhance your experience, protect your data, and comply with applicable privacy regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive.

By accessing and using EnvManager, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this Policy, subject to your cookie preferences and choices outlined herein.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit our website or use our application. These files contain information about your browsing activity, preferences, and session information. Each cookie typically includes:

  • A unique identifier
  • Information about your browser and device
  • The domain from which the cookie originated
  • The expiration date of the cookie

We also use similar tracking technologies, including:

  • Web beacons and pixels: Small transparent images embedded in web pages that track page visits and user interactions
  • Local storage: Browser storage mechanisms that function similarly to cookies but with larger storage capacity

3. Types of Cookies We Use

We use cookies in the following categories:

3.1 Essential (Strictly Necessary) Cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our Service and cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use EnvManager. They are necessary for:

  • Authenticating your identity and maintaining your session
  • Securing your account and preventing unauthorized access
  • Loading pages and providing basic platform functionality
  • Managing your environment variables securely

These cookies do not require explicit consent under GDPR but are automatically managed to provide essential functionality.

3.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, but are not strictly necessary for basic service operation:

  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Store your theme preference (light/dark mode)

We currently store the theme preference in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie (see Section 4.1).

3.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how you use our Service and to improve our platform's performance and user experience. This includes:

  • Tracking which features are used most frequently
  • Monitoring application performance and load times
  • Identifying usage patterns and user journeys
  • Detecting and resolving technical issues

Analytics cookies require your explicit consent and can be disabled through the cookie consent mechanism.

3.4 Marketing Cookies

We use marketing cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising — specifically, to tell whether a visitor who clicked one of our Google Ads later signed up. We do not sell your data and we do not use these cookies to build advertising profiles beyond Google's conversion measurement.

Marketing cookies require your explicit consent and can be disabled through the cookie consent mechanism.

4. Specific Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The following cookies are the ones EnvManager actually sets. This list matches the cookie declaration shown in our consent banner.

The sb-<project>-auth-token cookie is only set once you sign in. The analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you accept them in the consent banner.

4.1 Local Storage

Alongside cookies, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage:

em_first_touchRemembers how you first arrived on our site (campaign attribution), so a later sign-up can be attributed to the right sourceAnalytics

Local storage is not transmitted with every request the way cookies are, and you can clear it from your browser at any time.

5. Third-Party Cookies and Tracking

We integrate with third-party services that place their own cookies or storage on your device:

5.1 Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads

We use Google Tag Manager to load our analytics and advertising tags. Google Tag Manager does not set cookies itself, but it deploys Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) and Google Ads conversion tracking (_gcl_au). Google Tag Manager is loaded only after you accept analytics or marketing cookies, and we pass your choices to Google via Consent Mode.

  • Service Provider: Google Ireland Limited
  • Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Purpose: Website analytics, advertising conversion tracking, and campaign attribution
  • Opt-out: You can manage your Google ad personalisation settings at https://adssettings.google.com

5.2 PostHog

We use PostHog for product analytics and session replay, to understand how users interact with our platform and to improve the Service. PostHog is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies, and is served through our own subdomain (n.envmanager.com) so that requests stay on our domain.

  • Service Provider: PostHog Inc. (EU hosting)
  • Privacy Policy: https://posthog.com/privacy
  • Purpose: Product analytics, feature usage tracking, error tracking, and session replay
  • Cookies and storage: ph_*_posthog
  • Note: Session replays mask all form inputs, and any URL fragment (#...) is stripped before an event is sent, so secret-share decryption keys are never transmitted.

5.3 Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication and session management. Supabase sets a single authentication cookie (sb-<project>-auth-token) once you sign in. This cookie is strictly necessary — without it you cannot stay signed in.

  • Service Provider: Supabase (Supabase, Inc.)
  • Privacy Policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
  • Purpose: User authentication, session management, and secure API access
  • Category: Essential

5.4 Payments and Email

We use Stripe for payments and Mailgun for transactional email (account confirmations, password resets, security alerts). Neither of these sets cookies on envmanager.com: Stripe checkout takes place on Stripe's own hosted checkout pages, under Stripe's cookie and privacy policies, and transactional email is sent server-side. They are listed here only for transparency; see our Privacy Policy for how they process your data.

These third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are only permitted to use your information for the specific services they provide to us.

6. Cookie Consent and Management

6.1 Consent Mechanism

When you first visit EnvManager, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to:

  • Accept all cookies and tracking technologies
  • Accept only essential cookies (necessary for functionality)
  • Access detailed cookie settings and manage preferences
  • Reject non-essential cookies entirely

6.2 Cookie Preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by:

  • Clicking the 'Cookie Settings' link in the footer of our website, which reopens the consent banner
  • Using browser-based cookie management tools (see Section 7)

6.3 Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time. This will not affect the validity of your previous consent. Upon withdrawal, we will stop processing data through non-essential cookies, though this may affect certain features of the Service.

7. How to Control and Delete Cookies

In addition to our cookie consent interface, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored on your device
  • Delete all or specific cookies
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Enable 'Do Not Track' (DNT) signals
  • Use private/incognito browsing modes that typically do not store persistent cookies

Browser-Specific Instructions:

Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox: Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data

Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data

Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data

Note: Disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features of EnvManager from functioning properly. Non-essential cookies can typically be disabled without affecting core functionality.

8. Data Protection and Security

All data collected through cookies is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. We implement appropriate security measures to protect cookie data from unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.

For more information about how we process and protect your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy available at https://envmanager.com/privacy.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy to our website.

We will notify you of any material changes by updating the 'Effective Date' at the top of this policy and, where required by law, by obtaining your renewed consent.
